DUROKAL 16 is a water-mixable powder which, after brief mixing, forms a pourable plastic mass that can be used for the production of reliefs, models, and reproductions. 99.9% PURE NATURAL RESIN.
Directions for use: pour DUROKAL 16 powder into the indicated quantity of water. Mix thoroughly for about one minute, until the mixture, initially viscous, becomes plastic and pourable (for mixing large quantities, the use of an electric/mechanical mixer is recommended).
Pour the mixture slowly to avoid excessive air bubble formation. After 15–20 minutes from the start of pouring, the object can be removed from the mold.
The finished object will initially have a high temperature but will cool down in a short time: it is recommended to place it so that it is well ventilated on all sides (e.g. on wooden slats). Once hardened (approximately 8 hours), the surfaces can be treated with paints or acids.
The drying cycle will be complete after 48–72 hours, with a recommended temperature of around 40 °C.
Surface finishing: once drying is complete, the surfaces can be decorated using paints, varnishes, or water-soluble acrylic coating finishes.
Advantages: the product allows the creation of strong and durable items with an elegant porcelain-like appearance and very low expansion. It is safe, biodegradable, and easy to handle, hardens quickly without the need for additives or firing. It ensures high precision in detail, allows the addition of pigments and colors, can be polished with brushes, and tools are easily cleaned with water, making every process simple and precise.
