HYDROSTOP is a liquid consisting of a mixture of special oligomeric organosiloxane formulations in solvent, featuring hydrophobizing and waterproofing properties through impregnation of building materials.
Thanks to its characteristics, it modifies the surface tension state of the substrate so that driving rain and high levels of ambient humidity are not absorbed by the surface.
HYDROSTOP is not a film-forming product but an impregnating treatment; in other words, since it does not create surface films, it does not alter the visual appearance or the breathability characteristics of the materials to which it is applied.
Directions for use: HYDROSTOP is suitable for the protection of all building materials (stone, brick, tuff, etc.) and for both lime- and cement-based plasters.
It can be used to protect decorative elements and plasters from driving rain, particularly on historic buildings where it is necessary to preserve the original aesthetic appearance while ensuring effective protection against atmospheric agents.
HYDROSTOP can be applied by spray, brush, or roller, in two or more coats applied wet-on-wet, with consumption varying according to the absorbency of the material to be treated; on average, consumption ranges from 150 to 400 cm³/m².
Advantages: it preserves substrates from moisture stains and prevents the formation of moss and mold, without altering the properties of the treated materials, either in terms of visual appearance or breathability. Thanks to its ease and speed of application, it allows the creation of an effective water-repellent treatment at low cost, while UV stability ensures long-lasting performance over time.
Consumption: varies according to substrate absorbency; on average, consumption can be considered to be 150–400 cm3/m2.
Packaging: 25 L and 5 L canisters.
