SIRIOBETON STOP is a ready-to-use, ultra-rapid setting compound designed to instantly stop water infiltration.
It does not shrink; on the contrary, it expands during setting, forming a single, solid body with the masonry.
Directions for use: to achieve effective sealing, it is advisable to prepare the hole or crack by shaping it into a “dovetail” profile, maintaining a depth and width of at least 2–3 cm. The substrate must then be carefully cleaned, removing all loose parts and dust to ensure proper adhesion of the product.
At this point, prepare the mix by adding water until a normal mortar consistency is achieved, making only small quantities, as the material must be applied within a few minutes. Once ready, SIRIOBETON STOP should be applied by firmly pressing it into the hole or crack, exerting constant pressure to promote proper anchorage.
When water pressure is particularly high, it is advisable not to intervene immediately: it is better to wait until the product begins to warm up before application, so it can be pressed firmly and held in position until complete hardening and stoppage of the flow.
In the case of large-scale sealing, work should proceed from top to bottom, applying the product only after the previous layer has hardened. In situations where the volume of water is significant, it is useful to install drainage pipes to manage residual discharge while completing the intervention.
Mixing water dosage: 22% water per 100 kg of SIRIOBETON STOP.
Consumption: 19 kg/m2 of surface per 1 cm of thickness.
