SIRIOBETON AC, compliant with UNI EN 1504-3 and 1504-6, is a ready-to-use cementitious mixture which, after mixing with water, becomes perfectly pourable and allows the production of conglomerates with extremely high adhesion, durability, impermeability, exceptional mechanical strength, and no shrinkage.
SIRIOBETON AC is also suitable for anchoring applications with intervention thicknesses from 5 mm to 45 mm in a single application.
Directions for use: moisten the contact surfaces until complete saturation, starting a few hours before casting, in order to saturate the porosity of the substrate. Any excess water on the surface or in surface cavities must be removed, using compressed air or a sponge, immediately before casting.
Mix for 3–4 minutes (or, depending on mixing efficiency, for the time necessary to obtain homogeneous, lump-free mixes) in a concrete mixer already containing approximately the required amount of water for the mix, but slightly less.
In the case of thick castings, it is recommended to add 25–30% quartz or washed gravel with a grain size of 2–6 mm to the product.
Achieve the desired workability with the final addition of water. The amount of water required may vary depending on environmental thermo-hygrometric conditions.
Pour from one corner, by hand or with a pump, even in difficult and intricate positions; light vibration or manual compaction will be sufficient to ensure complete compactness of the casting.
After application, as soon as setting has occurred, keep the mortar surface moist or otherwise prevent evaporation of the contained water: this operation is particularly important in hot, dry, and windy climates. If necessary, anti-evaporation membranes may be used or jute sacks or wet rags can be applied to the surface, covered with polyethylene sheets, keeping the surface wet for several days.
Advantages: thanks to its self-leveling properties, SIRIOBETON AC is perfectly pourable and allows complete filling even of the most tortuous or hard-to-reach cavities, even at great distances from the casting point and with very reduced reinforcement spacing; it also offers absence of bleeding, extremely high adhesion to the substrate and reinforcement, dimensional stability, excellent durability against chemical attack and freeze–thaw cycles, resistance to grease and oils, as well as guaranteed impermeability to penetration even under pressure and exceptional mechanical strength.
Mixing water dosage: plastic mix: 2.25–2.75 L of water and 25 kg of SIRIOBETON AC; fluid mix: 2.75–3.3 L of water and 25 kg of SIRIOBETON AC.
