SIRIOSAN is a two-component product, consisting of ethyl silicate (consolidating agent) and a solvent-based water repellent with high penetration capacity through capillary absorption into deteriorated concrete.
It activates a hydrolytic process that restores the original properties of compromised materials and forms a waterproof, breathable, non-film-forming barrier that is resistant to weathering and durable over time, without generating stains or efflorescence.
Fields of application: particularly suitable for the rehabilitation and waterproofing of balconies and terraces, as well as for the protection of concrete elements and products made of granite, marble, or stone subject to degradation caused by environmental or chemical factors.
Directions for use: SIRIOSAN is a single-component waterproofing system that is easy to apply. Surfaces to be treated must be clean and dry, free from paints, encrustations, organic residues, or other impurities. Any cracks must be sealed beforehand with SIRIOSEAL.
SIRIOSAN is applied by brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer (max 2 atmospheres) until complete saturation of the surfaces. Drying times vary depending on temperature and substrate porosity: generally, after 10–12 hours the surface is waterproofed, although the full curing cycle is completed after 8–10 days.
The ideal application temperature is between 10 °C and 25 °C; avoid application in case of rain, risk of imminent precipitation, or on surfaces overheated by prolonged sun exposure.
Advantages: this treatment provides complete protection against weathering agents by penetrating deeply into the material’s capillaries and ensuring an effective consolidating action. Its effect prevents the formation of efflorescence and mold, keeping surfaces sound and stable over time. It also ensures reliable waterproofing, essential for preserving the integrity of structures exposed to the elements.

Consumption: varies according to the nature of the substrate and the application system; on average, 1 L of SIRIOSAN can treat approximately 5 m2 of surface.
