SIRIOBETON FIX-R is a high-performance cementitious mortar with ultra-rapid setting (already after 1 hour from application), specifically designed for fixings on masonry substrates, in both vertical and horizontal applications.
The product is formulated with hydraulic binders, selected aggregates, and specific additives. It contains no chlorides or metallic components.
Directions for use: mix the product with clean, impurity-free water in an amount equal to 18–20% (approximately 4.5–5 L per 25 kg bag), mixing by hand with a trowel until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained and apply immediately. During application, setting, and hardening, the ambient and substrate temperature must be between +5 °C and +35 °C. Protect the material from frost, direct sunlight, and washout until complete curing, using cold water if the temperature exceeds 30 °C and lukewarm water if it is below 8 °C. In the case of filling vertical surfaces, it is recommended to apply the product in several layers at intervals of 5 minutes, checking that the underlying layer has set.
Substrate preparation: check the soundness of the substrate on which the repair will be carried out. The substrate must be solid, not subject to hygrometric shrinkage, free from deformation of any kind, and free from foreign materials (dust, oils, efflorescence, etc.). It must also have a pull-off strength of at least 1.5 N/mm2.
For all substrates (especially absorbent and porous ones), prior saturation with water and removal of excess water is recommended in order to prevent water being drawn out of the product. Remove any deteriorated parts.
The substrate must be rough (with a surface roughness of approximately 3–4 mm for single-coat applications from 10 to 30 mm), achieved by chiseling, mechanical demolition tools, or high-pressure hydro-scarification.
Application guidelines: the product is ideal whenever rapid application and a significant reduction in working time are required, both for repairing deteriorated concrete or degraded masonry, and for quickly fixing metal elements into concrete or masonry, as well as for fast installation of manhole covers, anchors, pipes, false frames, and electrical boxes.
Advantages: the product offers high early mechanical strength, ultra-rapid setting, and thixotropic behavior, making it ideal for interventions on concrete and masonry substrates.
Consumption: 19 kg/m2/cm.
Mixing water dosage: 17–18 L of water per 100 kg of SIRIOBETON FIX-R.
