SIRIOBETON FLEX-M is a two-component waterproofing cementitious mortar in powder form, microfiber-reinforced and anti-carbonation, specifically designed for waterproofing balconies, terraces, bathrooms, and swimming pools.
It is formulated with a blend of high-strength cements modified with synthetic rubber latex, free of plasticizers, featuring very high elastic properties.
It is also suitable for low-thickness protection with a high elastic modulus of concrete elements on façades (e.g. pillars, parapets, edges, planters, and cast-in-place gutters, etc.), as well as plaster and cement screeds.
Directions for use: mix the entire component B (8.35 kg liquid canister) with component A (25 kg powder bag), using only clean buckets and tools free from any kind of impurities. Mix with a mixer or drill fitted with a low-speed paddle until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. The resulting mortar must be applied immediately.
The substrate must have a pull-off strength of at least 0.25 N/mm² and must be dry, sound, sufficiently flat, and free from foreign materials (dust, oil, soot, algae, efflorescence, release agents, debonding agents, etc.).
Remove any films of debonding materials; friable or powdering surfaces must be consolidated with the fixative SIRIOCRYL or removed and restored with a suitable product.
Application guidelines: apply a first coat of SIRIOBETON FLEX-M using a smooth or notched metal trowel, then apply the appropriate SIRIORETE fiberglass mesh and, once dry (approximately 4–5 hours), apply a second coat of the product with a smooth metal trowel. At edges and corners, use the appropriate accessories (waterproofing tape, internal corner tape, external corner tape). Respect any thermal joints and structural joints present in the substrate. Allow the product to dry (approximately 5 days) before installing ceramic tiles (under good climatic and temperature conditions, on a dry substrate, this period may be suitably reduced to up to 24 hours).
In the case of swimming pool waterproofing, the applied product must never be left exposed; cover with ceramic finishes.
During the hot season, avoid exposing the material (powder and liquid) to sunlight before use. After application, under particularly dry, hot, or windy conditions, it is recommended to protect the surface from rapid evaporation with sheets.
Classification: GP CS IV W2 according to UNI EN 998-1:2010. Complies with the requirements of the following standards: UNI EN 1504-9 (products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures) and UNI EN 1504-2 coating (C) according to principles PI, MC, and IR (Concrete surface protection systems).
Consumption: approximately 4 kg/m2 of surface for a thickness of 3 mm.
Packaging: 25 kg powder bag (component A) plus 8.35 kg liquid canister (component B).
