Rapid-setting, non-shrink mortar for repairs, fixings, and sealing, with strength class in accordance with UNI EN 1504-3: R3.
SIRIOBETON PR is a mortar used for the repair and reprofiling of reinforced concrete at medium to low thickness, in both horizontal and vertical applications, in indoor and outdoor environments, even without the use of specific adhesion-promoting primers.
Fields of application: suitable for the reconstruction of concrete cover in degraded structural elements (pillars, beams, slabs, shear walls, etc.) and for restoration and repair works on concrete elements in residential settings such as cornices, edges, balconies, and terraces, which may also be subject to reinforcement steel oxidation.
It is suitable for industrial applications such as precast concrete elements (e.g. manholes, pipes, concrete Imhoff tanks), correction of surface defects in concrete castings (e.g. gravel nests, spacer holes, construction joints, etc.), filling of rigid joints, and restoration of surfaces subject to severe abrasion (channels, industrial floors, ramps, etc.).
Directions for use: during application and setting/hardening, the ambient and substrate temperature must be between +5 °C and +35 °C. During curing and until complete maturation, protect from frost, excessive ventilation, direct sunlight, as well as from washout and potentially harmful weather events.
In the case of temperatures above 30 °C, it is recommended to use cold water and apply the product immediately after mixing, protecting the surfaces in order to prevent drying. In the case of temperatures below 8 °C, the use of lukewarm water is recommended to avoid slowing down the development of mechanical strength during early curing.
Mix with an amount of water equal to 16% of the powder weight (approximately 4 L of water for each 25 kg bag of SIRIOBETON PR); use only clean water free from any kind of impurities. Mix with a vertical-axis mixer, concrete mixer, or, for small quantities, with a low-speed paddle drill until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained.
Consumption: approximately 18 kg/m2 of surface per 1 cm of thickness; max aggregate size Ø 1.5 mm.
Mixing water dosage: approximately 4 L per 25 kg bag (16%).
Packaging: 25 kg bag.
