SIRIOSOL is a fast-drying waterproofing and protective primer (bituminous coating), formulated with bitumen, selected solvents (solvents regenerated through R2 category activities), and special additives to facilitate application on slightly damp substrates.
Fields of application: the product can be used as a primer coat on cementitious structures such as viaducts, bridges, foundation walls, and roofs of civil and industrial buildings. It must be applied before bonding bitumen-polymer membranes, either hot-applied or cold-applied with bituminous adhesives such as Bitoglue Base, or prior to coating with liquid bituminous membranes. It can also be used as a waterproofing paint on concrete foundation walls or as a fixing and consolidating primer on cement, wood, and metal surfaces, proving effective also in the preparation of metal and wooden substrates.
Application: the product is ready to use and can be applied by brush, broom, or roller. In case of specific requirements, thinners (preferably aromatic type) may be added. Tools must be cleaned with synthetic or nitro solvents.
Consumption: approximately 100–200 g/m2.
