SIRIOGEL 100 L is a chloride-free antifreeze admixture which, acting on cement through a chemical-physical action, accelerates the development of hydration heat and consequently prevents ice formation in cementitious mixes used during winter periods.
Fields of application: SIRIOGEL 100 L is used in mortars and in all types of concrete: normal, reinforced, and precast. Being a chloride-free product, it is also widely used in prestressed concrete.
Directions for use: SIRIOGEL 100 L is used at a dosage of 1–2% by weight of cement (i.e. 1–2 kg per 100 kg of cement), adding it simultaneously with the mixing water.
Advantages: the product allows cement-based applications to be carried out even during the winter months, at temperatures down to 10 °C. At low temperatures, it promotes faster development of concrete strength, allowing earlier removal of formwork. It also increases early strength, protecting the mix from possible frost damage. Finally, it ensures greater cohesion, preventing segregation phenomena.
Dosage: 1–2% by weight of cement (1–2 kg per 100 kg of cement).
Packaging: 1,200 kg tank; 220 kg drum; 30 kg and 5 kg canisters.
